Of Switzerland has signed a contract with the international technology group Andritz, based in Graz, Austria, for the sale of the French company Rieter Perfojet S.A.S, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Rieter Group. Lenzing invests to expand production capacity

Lenzing - The Lenzing Group, market leader in cellulose fibres, will continue to expand production capacity in 2010 by investing a scheduled EUR 120 million its European and Asian sites. The projects will be realized over the next two years. The key elements are the further extension of pulp production at the Lenzing site (Upper Austria) and a further extension of fibre production at Heiligenkreuz (Burgenland, Austria) as well as remodelling the Tencel site at Grimsby (UK).

Albstadt – German circular knitting machine builder Mayer & Cie has taken the first steps towards restructuring its business by laying-off about 215 employees. Since filing for insolvency on the 29th of September the company has been employing 450 workers which will be reduced to 235 employees, starting in December.
